Current Team of Animal Actors

(Apart from our own personal dogs we source and train other dogs when required. We have access to a wide variety of breeds, all shapes, sizes and colours.)

Sonny – Jack Russell – best known for his role in the comedy ‘Mystics’ with Milo O’Shea and Dave Kelly. In 1998 we needed a little terrier to work on Animal Farm. Sonny came to us from PAWS rescue centre and is a great character and loves to learn. He is very much in demand by directors and producers. He has lots and lots of films and TV commercials to his credit.
Jamie – our Irish setter – best known for his work on Bus Eireann advert. Jamie is clever, versatile and so good natured that he endears himself to everyone.
Scruff – another of our rescued dogs – best known as the dog on the threadmill in the Erin hot cup advert. She is a very entertaining and clever little dog and has done lots of adverts and poster campaigns including the 15cent Plastic bag levy poster and the Bord na Mona advert ‘Cuddle up to a real fire’. Scruff, Samson and feline friend featured, warming their paws in this Award winning Photo.
Sheba – our Rottie – best known for her work on Hallmark’s Animal Farm 1998. Sheba came to us from PAWS rescue centre and stayed! Sheba was a very fearful dog – showing all the signs of physical and mental abuse. Sheba, with our help, gradually overcome her suspicions and is now a happy member of our canine family. She has appeared in a number of movies.
Jack – our black and white border collie – best known for his role as Birdie O’Hanlon’s sheepdog Trixie in Ballykissangel. Jack is a big, handsome chap who loves to learn and to work. Together with Spice he started his career as a young puppy on Live at Three. He has done lots of movies, adverts and photo shoots.
Kai – Jack Russell – understudy to Sonny – Kai makes his debut as one of the dogs who helps Lassie, in the latest movie, to escape from the pound. Kai is a very sociable youngster, full of personality and loves to learn.
Bud – Terrier crossbreed – Bud made his debut as the football mad mutt in the latest Eircom advert – May 05. Bud was a stray we took in. We found him a lovely new home but he was so naughty he was sent back to us. Brimming with personality he is now here to stay.
Cajun – our tri colour border collie understudy to her mother Spice – waiting in the wings – Cajun is a very sweet natured little dog and has inherited her mother’s lovely personality and intelligence.
The Iggies – our greyhounds – best know for their work as Iggy the dog in Paramounts movie ‘Honeymooners’ with Cedric the Entertainer and Mike Epps. We rescued seven failed racing greyhounds for this movie, three of whom – Iggy One, Iggy Two and Iggy Three – played the role of Iggy. They are now our personal pets. We took time and found really suitable and caring homes for each of the other four. Greyhounds are very easy to live with and make wonderful pets.
Balto – our bull mastiff. Balto came to us because he was just too much of a handful for his family and he was aggressive towards other dogs. He is a most loving and affectionate chap. He is learning not to use his body weight to flatten everyone he meets and to tolerate other dogs even if he doesn’t like them. He has made his film debut as one of the pound dogs in the latest Lassie film.
